I was born and raised in Decatur, IL and attended Warrensburg-Latham High School. I was on the football and track team as well as a competitive power lifter. I began powerlifting at the age of 14 and competed for a few years before herniating a disc in my back. I struggled with the injury on a physical and mental level because I did not feel like myself. while I was completing my undergraduate degree at Illinois State University, I decided to compete in powerlifting again despite my injury. Physical Therapy helped me regain confidence and feel better overall. I found a passion in the industry because I was very familiar with the human body and exercise. I know what it is like to have an injury put life on hold and use that knowledge to help treat my patients. While i no longer compete, I have found a new passion in helping my patients get back to living their lives to the fullest.
