Meet The Team

Robert Downs - Clinic Manager

     Robert was born and raised in Tuscola, IL.  He attended Eureka College where he received a BS in Physical Fitness Leadership, a minor in Business Administration, and played football.  Robert has been a member of our team since 2008 when he started as a Rehabilitation Therapist and was then promoted to Office Manager in March of 2009.  He and his wife, Beth, were married in October 2010 and currently live in Bloomington with their two miniature dachshunds, Mason and Jaxon, and cat, Sophie.  They are eagerly anticipating the birth of their first child in February 2012.  He is a fan of the 2011 Super Bowl Champion Green Bay Packers and the 1908 World Series Champion Chicago Cubs.

     Ray was raised in Catlin, Illinois and lived there until moving to Normal in 2004 to attend Illinois State University.  Growing up, he was active in community theater and volunteerism.  Ray started and led a local peer mentoring group, established Young Men Aware of Vermilion County, and helped create the Keep Vermilion County Beautiful project; all are still active today.  After serving two years in Americorps, he transferred to Illinois State University.  Currently, he is the secretary for Bloomington-Normal Faith in Action, the president of Central Illinois American Marketing Association, and an active member of the Bloomington-Normal Sunrise Rotary.

Deborah Gates - Patient Care Coordinator

     Deborah was born and raised in Bloomington, Illinois and joined Allied Health Group in 2009.  She went to Heartland Community College and transferred to MTSU in Tennessee.  She is from a VERY musically oriented family and travels on the weekend to play the piano and sing southern gospel and bluegrass music.  In her spare time she enjoys teaching piano, taking walks, camping, hiking, swimming, and soaking up the simple things in life. 

Lisa Barnhill - New Patient Coordinator

     Lisa comes from a small town, which sometimes surprises people.  She was never a cat person until her old roommate told her that a cat needed a home for a while. . .it was love at first sight!  She loves animals and can't watch the sad commercial on TV because it breaks her heart.  Lisa would move mountains for her family and friends in life that mean the most to her.  She loves to ride roller coasters and do anything else that might cause a thrill, she's been told she would make a GREAT Nascar driver!  She loves to travel and hopes to do more. . .definitely wants to see Ireland some day!

Tricia Zvonar - Patient Account Coordinator

     Tricia was born and raised in Bloomington-Normal. She graduated early with honors from Bloomington High School and received her Associate in Arts at Heartland Community College. She plans to continue to get her Bachelors Degree in Health Information Management from ISU. She is very active in volunteering for her church and her daughters school, St. Mary's, in Bloomington. She loves dancing, swimming, being outdoors and spending time with her family. She currently lives in Normal with her daughter Alyssa, their dog Bella, and their two guinea pigs Peanut and Brownie.

     Jessica was born and raised in Bloomington, IL.  She graduated from Normal West in 2003 and the moved to Melbourne, FL for 7 years.  She recently relocated back home to Bloomington and has been at Allied Health Group since October 2010.  She has a 4 year old daughter Jordyn, a son on the way and a collie.  She enjoys spending time with her family and traveling.

     Katie was born and raised here in Bloomington, Illinois.  She attend Normal Community West high School where she was active in basketball, soccer, and was also a guidance office volunteer.  She then attended Northern Illinois University was a Division One soccer player for three years.  It was during her time as a college athlete that Kati believes taught her to be the competitive, hard worker she is today.  After completing her degree in Preventive and Rehabilitative Exercise Science, Kati moved back to Bloomington where she could be closer to her family.  Then in the fall of 2008, Katie met her husband Mike while watching the Chicago Bears, which they are both very passionate about.  They were married in October of 2010 and live here in Bloomington.  In her spare time, Kati enjoys playing and watching sports, reading, and spending time with her family.

Alyssa Bruck - DRX9000 Decompression Therapist

     Alyssa recently joined the Allied Health Group family.  She obtained a Bachelor of Science degree concentrated in Exercise Science from Illinois State University in May 2011.  She plans to continue her schooling in a graduate program in order to earn her Master of Occupational Therapy degree and plans to work with pediatrics.  Alyssa enjoys the outdoors and has a passion for music.  Due to her past experiences, she has a very well-rounded approach to guiding patients through their journey in obtaining a better quality of life. 

Michael Johnson -  Rehabilitation Therapist

     Michael has worked with Allied Health Group since 2007.  He is an Illinois State University graduate with a major in Exercise Science and a minor in Psychology.  He is passionate about proper exercise and diet as he used to weigh over 300 pounds and has personally experienced the joys that come along with leading a healthy lifestyle.  Michael is a BIG St. Louis Cardinals fan and enjoys home improvement and being outdoors.  Michael lives in El Paso, Illinois with his wife Kate, son Jack, daughter Ali and dog Lucy.  He grew up in Thawville, Illinois and is a United States Air Force veteran having served in Texas, Germany, Florida, and spent several months in Afghanistan.

     Sarah has recently joined the Allied Health Group team. She is a graduate of Eureka College with a BS in Physical Fitness Leadership. She is a dual citizen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and the United States. International travel has always been a huge part of her life. Her family resides in the United States, England, France, and New Zealand. Sarah has coaching experience in gymnastics and swimming and holds a very strong passion for running and physical fitness. Growing up she was involved in basketball, volleyball, competitive gymnastics, swimming, soccer, running and high jump. She enjoys attending sporting events, being outside, landscaping and floating in her pool. She has two cats of her own named Piper, Renegade, and a gecko named Jinx.

Chrystal Moyer - Rehabilitation Therapist

     Born in Sterling Rockfalls, Illinois, Chrystal grew up in the Bloomington-Normal area, and then moved to Melbourne, Florida in 2001. She attended Keiser University obtaining her Associates Degree in health studies.  Chrystal and her husband moved back to the Bloomington area to be close to family in December 2011, and is happy to join the Allied Health Group team!  She and her husband, Jason, love to attend NASCAR races, and live sporting events, spend time with friends and family and travel.  They have a Shih-Tzu, Mickey, and a cat, Bella.  They are also VERY excited to be close to their niece and nephew.
